History of Leo Burdock
Bella Burdock was the main mastermind behind the formation of Burdocks. The restaurant was established in 1913 and the first outlet was launched in the Christchurch area of Dublin, Ireland.
Bella collaborated with her son Leo at the time and the restaurant was named after her son following which they launched a large number of outlets in and around Dublin. The formation of the restaurant was also credited to the Burdocks who were an important part of the Irish Republican Army.
A huge collection of revolvers, rifles, hand grenades, and ammunition was found in a pram at the Marrowbone Lane shop in 1941 and the collection was found during a search conducted by the police officers.
Joseph also decided to work and ensure that his father was not blamed for everything that happened and the shortage of fuel and ingredients for making the food items during the Second World War eventually led to the shutdown of the original spot which was launched a long time back.
Burdock’s son Brian decided to take over the business and his cousin Paddy Burdock also joined him when his parents passed away.
