He then received $10,000 from his parents to start Blackjack Pizza and the name was inspired by the Blackjack game. Their first outlet was launched in 1983 and the second store was launched the following year.
They then launched six more stores alongside a franchise. They sold many corporate stores to franchisees during the 80s and 45 more stores were opened in five states.
But people are unaware of the fact that two individuals named Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold who were a part of the Columbine High School massacre in 1999, also worked at the place.
The restaurant was frequently visited by people and the reason was the popularity of their commercials. The commercials featured former professional football player Rod Smith and he appeared in the ads until 2008. Following Smith’s exit, Blackjack Pizza started a new campaign that included the cast members of Impulse Theater.
