Established many years ago, Bombay Bicycle Club has an old-school decoration and is mostly known for its burgers. The restaurant chain was established by Joe Hunt. There is very less information available regarding the restaurant chain.

Although online sources have not revealed much, an article by The Guardian stated that the restaurant was sold to Indian restaurant chain Tiffinbites at a price of £4.4 million in 2008. Bombay Bicycle Club was the owner of three eat-in restaurants alongside 15 takeaways in London.

Tiffinbites purchased it from Clapham House and they previously stated that they were planning to pay the bank debts and invest more in the development of other restaurant brands like The Real Greek, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, and more.

Tiffinbites was operating four restaurants when the deal was finalized and they were serving the best food items. Jamal Hirani and Jonathan Marks were the founders of the company and according to Hirani, he was working in the City and was missing his mother’s cooking. The company used to deliver 2,000 lunches daily to the huge company offices.

Bombay Bicycle Club had to suffer some loss at the time before tax of £484,000 in the entire year to the end of March and the price of their assets was estimated to be around £2.4 million. Clapham was taking a hit of £1.9 million by writing off goodwill on the restaurant chain.

There are artifacts on the walls that include bowling pins, pin-up girls, vintage cigar merch, and more. Bombay’s is mostly known by the college kids of the area and Bay’s seems to be a perfect shrine devoted to paraphernalia that can be found in an eccentric relative’s basement.

John Martinez’s Murals cover the ceiling and pool room and have done the same for a long time. But the iconic one has been the scene of animals playing poker.

Bombay Bicycle Club is famous for serving authentic Indian food. The menu also offers vegetarian gluten-free curry or kabab, Halal food, Nan bread, and chapatti, alongside special Chettinad south Indian curry.

Apart from these, the restaurant also features some important facilities like Reservations, Parking Available, Delivery, Takeout, Seating, Street Parking, Serves Alcohol, and a Full Bar.

The restaurant accepts all cards for payment. As per the public reviews posted online, the Bombay Bicycle Club menu offers delicious food items and is filled with a variety of dishes.
