The journey of the restaurant began with David G. Nancarrow during the 70s in Santa Clara, California. The restaurant was initially known as the Carrows Hickory Chip Restaurant and the restaurant alongside its sister chain Coco’s Bakery Restaurants was later brought during the 90s by the Advantica Restaurant Group.
The company had to later file for bankruptcy and they were once again taken over by Catalina Restaurant Group, Inc. in 2002.
