A Little History of Raising Cane’s

Raising Cane’s was founded in 1996 by Craig Silvey and Todd Graves in Louisiana. They named the company after Todd Grave’s dog, a yellow labrador.

As we know some people dream of becoming doctors, astronauts, engineers, or presidents. The owners dreamt of opening a finger-licking chicken restaurant.

Initially, it was a risky business, and yet they have grown incredibly quickly since then. The idea of Raising Cane’s came when both the owners were pursuing their graduation and then forming a business plan soon after.

Also, during that time, Todd Grave was working as a part-time employee at Guthrie’s Chicken.

However, their business plans were rejected by many investors and they had to work hard to save money by doing multiple odd labour jobs.

Currently, it is headquartered in Baton Rouge, United States, and operates 700 plus different locations. Being 27 years into existence, Raising Cane strives to make a great business!
